BC1000- Introduction to Personal and Professional Practice

BC1000- Introduction to Personal and Professional Practice

The final assignment for this module requires you to present, discuss and evaluate your individual development during the module. You should present a poster via you tube or any other digital media using your CV as the centrepiece and use creative visuals to support your points.

1.    Imagine you are selling yourself to an employer. Design a poster and present a digital presentation that is a reflective overview of your learning to date since starting University and a reflection of your CV. You may want to structure your poster presentation using examples from a variety of experiences, e.g. University, employment, social activities. Your poster and digital presentation should include a description of your experiences, a reflection on what you have learnt so far and a discussion about your learning needs and opportunities in the future. Reference your reading, where appropriate.

2. A detailed and formatted Curriculum Vitae (2 pages maximum).

Guidance

You are encouraged to provide your own personal examples. You must relate your learning to theory and reference appropriately. There should be evidence of reading in your assignment that goes beyond your core text book. As well as indicative reading in your module information pack you may want to explore texts relating to employability and skills.

Assessment Criteria

A well-structured discussion which will include the following:

Evidence of reflective learning using supporting examples from a range of sources (20%)

A discussion of skills required to continue effective learning and professional development (30%)

An accurate and detailed CV (30%)

Spelling and grammar (10%)

Inclusion of a minimum of 4 relevant texts in the poster (not the CV) supported by appropriate Harvard referencing (10%)

Assignment Length: An A3 poster including your CV and a 3.5-5 minute digital video to present the poster. Do not go over 5 mins.

Submission Date; This work is to be submitted to Blackboard by noon on 18th May 2015
